Mary Arlene Moore 1942-2013 Obituary
Mary “Arlene” Moore, 70, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life, late Tuesday evening, February 12, 2013 in Huttonsville at the home of her daughter surrounded by family. Arlene was born on Saturday, May 30 1942 in Mill Creek, a daughter of the late Russell Monroe Herron and Jettie Lenora Taylor Herron. She was married to Denzil Keith Moore who preceded her in death on December 31, 2003. Left to cherish her memory is one son, Arnold Moore of Elkins, three daughters, Teresa Cave, and husband, Tom, of Montrose, Tammy Hedrick and husband, Billy, of Elkins, and Pam Hammonds and husband, Jimmy, of Huttonsville, two brothers, Doyle Herron and wife Judy, of Elkins and Delbert Herron of Delray, three sisters, Arra Currence and husband, Buck, of Dailey, Jean Ramsey and husband, Denny of Beverly, and Freda Burton of Pin Oak, fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Ann Wolford and one sister, Dorothy Mason. She attended the schools of Randolph County, and had worked at Reidboard Brothers, Beta Shoe Company, Companion Care, and the Elkins-randolph County Senior Center from which she retired. She was a stay at home mom, and she enjoyed playing BINGO and Farmville. Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home on Friday from 6PM until 8PM. Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 11AM with the Rev. Terry Cannon officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain State Memorial Gardens.
