Jacqueline Lea Jacki Currence Brake 1963-2013 Obituary
Jacqueline Lea “Jacki” Currence Brake, 50, a resident of Mill Creek passed from this life Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins. She was born Friday, March 15, 1963 in Elkins, a daughter of the late Franklin Delmer Currence and Joyce Ann Armstrong Currence. On January 7, 2003 in Mingo, she married Robert “Robbie” Brake, who survives in Mill Creek. Others left to cherish Jacki’s memory is her mom, Diane B. Currence, daughter, Joy Ann Shifflett, and stepson, Roger Lambert, all of Mill Creek, her eight siblings, Patrick Bryan Currence of Elkins, Franklin Douglas “Doug” Currence and wife, Brenda, of Elkins, Richard Edward Currence and wife, Karen, of Mill Creek, Timothy Lee Currence and wife, Loretta “Sis“, of Elkins, Josetta Michelle Fortney and husband, Allen of Mill Creek, Denise Deakins and fiance, Nathan Larke of Burton, OH, Jason Alan Currence, and Kathryn Renee Currence and husband, Donnie, all of Mill Creek, and several nieces and nephews, and her three special puppies, CC, Midget, and Buffy. Jacki was preceded in death by a daughter, Meagen Dawn Currence and a sister, Terri Ann Currence. Jacki attended the schools of Randolph County, had worked various jobs, and was disabled at the time of her death. Jacki enjoyed camping, crocheting, cooking, computer games, flowers, shopping, and her Bible studies. She never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Friday, May 3, 2013 from 11AM until 1PM, the funeral hour. Rev. Tristan Tenney will officiate and interment will follow at the Brick Church Cemetery at Huttonsville.
