Dale Olen Bubby McCauley 1953-2013 Obituary
Dale Olen ‘Bubby’ McCauley, 60, a resident of Huttonsville, passed from this life early Tuesday morning, May 14, 2013, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Sunday, January 4, 1953, in Elkins, a son of the late Olan McCauley and Myrtle Lloyd McCauley. On December 17, 1971 in Mill Creek, he married the former Nancy Howell who survives in Huttonsville. Others left to cherish Dale’s memory are one daughter: Crystal Blankenship and husband Darren of Belington, four siblings: Evelyn Gibson of Mill Creek, Darrell McCauley of Charleston, Timothy McCauley of Valley Bend and Carse McCauley of Mill Creek, and three grandchildren: Summer, Kayla and Hanna Blankenship. Preceding him in death besides his parents was one brother Edwin McCauley. Dale attended the schools of Randolph County, graduating from Tygarts Valley High School. He retired from the Navy after 21 years of service. He will always be remembered for loving to mow grass, spending time with his grandkids and watching wrestling. Dale’s request for cremation was honored. There will be a gathering of family and friends at Dale and Nancy’s home in Huttonsville at Noon, this Sunday, May 19, 2013. Please bring a covered dish and help celebrate Dale’s life.
