Rebecca Minwaw ‘Becky’ Weiford, 56, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life late Friday evening, May 3, 2013, at Hospice Care Regional Inpatient Center in Elkins. She was born Thursday, July 19, 1956 in Elkins, a daughter of the late Oliver Blake Weiford and Elizabeth Minwaw ’Betty’ Hogue Weiford who survives in Beverly. Also left to cherish her memory are four siblings: Evelyn Lewis and husband Terry, Blake Weiford Jr. and wife Annette, all of Elkins, Robert Weiford of Beverly and Marie White and husband Joey of Jimtown, three nieces: Erika Isner, Heather Ayers and Julie Weiford, two nephews: Shane and Joey, one great niece: Alexis Ayers and four great nephews: Adam and Aiden Ayers, Garrett Isner and Peyton Isner. Becky attended the schools of Randolph County and graduated from Elkins High School. She was a Methodist by faith and had attended the Assembly of God and the Church of God in Elkins. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cross stitching and making things for Christmas. Becky was all about family and and cherished her nieces and nephews. She will always be remembered for being very giving. Rebecca’s request for cremation will be honored and there will be a private memorial service at a later date.
