Addie Mae Currence Lambert, 78, a resident of Mill Creek, passed from this life Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at the Hospice Inpatient Care Center in Elkins. Addie was born Thursday, June 21, 1934 in Mill Creek, a daughter of the late Charlie Currence and Russie Wilfong. She was married to Blaine Channell who preceded her in death. Addie is survived by six children, Dennis Channell of Huttonsville, Elaine Channell and her companion and special son-in-law, David Lloyd of Mill Creek, Francine Tingley of Charlestown, Gail Channell of Douglasville, GA, Judith Snyder and husband, Marshall of Beverly, and Rebecca Arbogast and husband, Rocky of Beverly, one sister, Violet Nelson of Clarksburg, fifteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Preceding Addie in death was one son, Christopher Channell, one great grandchild and one brother, Billy Currence. Addie attended the schools of Randolph County and was a homemaker. She enjoyed puzzle books and embroidery, but she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a Methodist by faith. Addie’s request for cremation was honored. A memorial service will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home on Friday May 31, 2013 at 2PM. The Rev. Randy Long will officiate.
