Dana Morgan Barrickman 1938-2013 Obituary
Dana Morgan Barrickman, 75, a resident of Beverly, passed from this life Saturday evening, June 15, 2013, at home surrounded by family.
He was born Wednesday, March 16, 1938 in Dailey, a son of the late Lewis Morgan Barrickman and Beatrice Arbutus White Barrickman.
On June 11, 1963, he was married to Margorie Carol Daft Barrickman, who preceded him in death on October 2, 2010.
Left to cherish Dana’s memory are his four children, Valerie Neale and husband, John of Moore, SC, Sheila Ross and husband, Steve of Dayton, OH, Cheryl DeBoni and husband, Craig of Las Vegas, NV, and Brian Barrickman and wife, Angela of Dailey, a brother, Carroll Barrickman of Barberton, OH, a sister, Cordella Horan of Jamestown, NY, ten grandchildren, John Neale II and wife, Carrie of Summerville, SC, Justin Neale and wife, Stephanie of Woodruff, SC, Michael Ross and Christopher Ross, both of Dayton, OH, Gatlin DeBoni, Barrick DeBoni, and Greer DeBoni, all of Las Vegas, NV, Zachary Barrickman, Nicholas Barrickman, and Alexandra Barrickman, all of Dailey, two great grandchildren, Peyton Neale and Gracelynn Neale, and several nieces and nephews.
Dana was preceded in death by five siblings, Emmett Barrickman, Shirley Jean Zavasky, Willard Lee Kelley, Bernadine Feathers, and Norma Wamsley.
Dana was a graduate of Tygart Valley High School, had served with the United States Army, and had worked as a salesman for Frito Lay.
He enjoyed tinkering with antique cars, but his greatest joy came by spending time with his grandchildren.
He attended the First United Methodist Church of Elkins. Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 until 8PM.
Funeral services will be held from the funeral home chapel on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 11AM.
The Reverend Dewaine Corley will officiate and interment will follow at Mountain State Memorial Gardens in Gilman where full military honors will be accorded by members of the H.W. Daniels Post #29, American Legion, the Tygarts Valley Post #3647, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the WV Honor Guard.
