Forrest Michael “Mike” Carr, 66, departed this life on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at his home in Elkins. He was born Saturday, June 14, 1947 in Parsons, a son of the late Bessie S. Carr. Surviving are one son: Brandin F. Carr and fiancée Lindsey B. Hart of Valley Bend, one brother: Joseph B. “Joe” Carr and wife Brenda of Elkins, fiancée Elaine M. LaBenne of Clarksburg, one grand son: Zane Mitchell Forrest Carr, one niece: Sherri L. Kerr and husband Adam of Elkins and one great niece: MaKayla A. Kerr of Elkins. Mike had a special friend which he thought a lot of, Mike Bond. He had two special pets, Mikey and Bubba. Mike loved being outdoors and enjoyed fishing with his brother Joe. He loved having cook outs with his family and friends. He attended Davis High School in Davis, WV. Mike worked for Mountain State Transport until his recurrence of cancer. Mike was a protestant by faith. Mike’s request for cremation was honored.
