Rella Jo Taylor Doerr, 88, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Wednesday evening, September 11, 2013 at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins. She had been in declining health and death was unexpected. Rella was born Wednesday, March 19, 1925 in Elkins a daughter of the late Jay Taylor and Lota Taylor. Left to cherish her memory are two sons: Lanny Doerr of Elkins and Jeffrey Doerr of Clifton, VA, two daughters: Jody Jones and Diane Naronha, both of Elkins, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceding Rella in death besides her parents was one daughter: Terrie Doerr. Rella’s request for cremation has been honored and a graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.
