Forrest “Danny” Thomas, 55, a resident of Beverly, passed from this life Monday morning November 18, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. He was born Friday, July 18, 1958 in Elkins, a son of the late Helen Louise Weese Thomas and Forrest Brown Thomas who survives in Beverly. On March 19, 1977, in Beverly, he married the former Lisa Murray who survives in Beverly. Others left to cherish Danny’s memory are two children, Daniel Brown Thomas of Beverly and Andrea Christine Cassidy and husband Steven of Parsons, one sister, Deborah Kyle of Beverly, one grandson, Thomas Daniel Lee Cassidy of Parsons and mother-in-law, Anita Simmons of Beverly. Danny attended the schools of Randolph County and graduated Elkins High School with the Class of 1976. He was a huge Nascar fan, an avid hunter and fisherman and all around woodsman. Danny was a member of the Tygart Valley Muzzle Loaders Association and the Barbour County 36er’s Muzzle Loaders Association. He was Baptist by faith. Danny’s request for cremation was honored. The family will receive friends from 4P-6P at the Randolph Funeral Home on Thursday, November 21, 2013. At 6:00PM a memorial service will be held and Reverend Leon Brown will officiate.
