Roy Dale “RoyDale” Teter, 48, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Sunday, November 10, 2013 in Lewis County. RoyDale was born Thursday, July 29, 1965 in Elkins, a son of the late Ray Nelson and Dortha Teter Nelson. Left to cherish Roydale’s memory are two children, Ashley Lambert of Fairmont and Daylon Roy Teter of Mill Creek, two sisters, Darlene Nelson, and Denise Vance and husband Paul, all of Whitmer and one brother, Gary Ray Nelson and wife Heather of OH, very special second parents, Ruth and Jerry Smith of Elkins, special uncle Delbert Teter of Whitmer, his companion, Valerie Gallagher and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death besides his parents were two uncles, Harold and Bim Teter. Roydale attended the schools of Randolph County and graduated with the class of 85 from Harman High School. He had worked as mechanic for G&J Salvage in Elkins. He loved to hunt, fish and work on cars. Most of all, his world revolved around his pride and joy, his son, Daylon. RoyDale’s request for cremation will be honored and a memorial service will take place at a later date.
