Barbara Allen See Tacy, 79, a resident of Austintown, OH, passed from this life early Friday morning, January 17, 2014 at her home. Barbara was born Sunday, August 5, 1934 in Webster Springs, a daughter of the late Rollin O. See and Ethel Rosencrance See. On December 27, 1952 she married Charles W. Tacy who survives. They enjoyed sixty one years of marriage. Also left to cherish Barbara’s memory is one daughter, Patricia A. Grolemund of Austintown, OH, one sister, Evalena Isner of Woodstock, VA, one brother, Carlton G. See of Elkins and several beloved nieces and nephews. Preceding Barbara in death besides her parents was one daughter, Katherine A. Tacy, one sister, Regina Isner Garner and son-in-law, Gary Grolemund. After graduating from the Beverly High School and attending Davis and Elkins College, she moved to Youngstown, OH in 1953. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt. Barbara had worked as a retail clerk with the Strouss Department store in Austintown, OH and retired in 1981. Barbara was a past 4-h member and was awarded the Pioneer pin and was chosen as the WV State Dairy Queen in 1950. She was the 4-h advisor with the Austintown 77 Sewing Strip, a past mother advisor with the Youngstown Assembly #16 Rainbow for Girls and a member and past president of the Mau-mil Auxiliary Club. Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home on Monday, January 20, 2014 from 4P-6P. A funeral will be conducted at the funeral home Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 1:00P. Interment will follow in the Brick Church Cemetery in Huttonsville.
