Edwina Jeannette Lipscomb Thomas 1942-2014
Edwina Jeannette Lipscomb Thomas, 71, a resident of Philippi, passed from this life late Friday night, April 18, 2014 at Mansfield Place in Philippi. Edwina was born Friday, July 24, 1942 in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Denver C. Lipscomb and Eva Juanita Ayers Lipscomb. On September 4, 1965, in Parkersburg, Edwina married Lowell Dennis Thomas, who survives in Philippi. Also left to cherish her memory are two children, April Dean and husband Colin of Burnsville and Mark Thomas and wife Angie of Flemington, two grandsons, Dalton Dean and Isaac Thomas and one brother, Richard Lipscomb of Lorton, VA. Edwina graduated from Belpre High School in OH and had been employed as a researcher for the credit bureau in Clarksburg. Edwina was a Christian by faith and was once an active member of the Rebecca Lodge. Edwina’s request for cremation has been honored. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Harvest Time Ministries at 2:00P in Pennsboro.
