Phillip Ray Moss, 82, a resident of Huttonsville, passed from this life late Wednesday night, May 14, 2014 at Hospice Regional Inpatient Center in Elkins. Phillip was born Saturday, May 23, 1931 in Ohio, a son of the late George Carter Moss and Anna M. Sharnsky Moss. On October 21, 2010, in Ohio, he married the former Prudy Dawson who survives in Huttonsville. Also left to cherish Phillip’s memory are two children, Lynn Ann and Joyce, both of FL, ten stepchildren, one brother, Ted Moss, one sister, Nancy Barnhouse, one grandson, one great granddaughter and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceding Phillip in death besides his parents were three children, Robert Lee, William Dale and Pamela, one brother, Walt Moss and one stepchild. Phillip was a self employed truck driver. He was well known for making furniture and always enjoyed helping people mow their grass. Phillip was Baptist by faith and attended Markley Memorial Chapel. Phillip’s request for cremation was honored and inurnment will take place at a later date in Ohio.
