Euna “Bee” Ball, 87, a resident of Monterville, passed from this life late Wednesday night, April 16, 2014 at the John Manchin Assisted Living Facility in Farmington surrounded by family. Bee was born Saturday, February 19, 1927 in Monterville, a daughter of the late George A. and Dola J. Bowers Bennett. On December 20, 1945, she married Charles Laten Ball who preceded her in death. Left to cherish Bee’s memory are two sons, David Edward Ball and Roy Lee Ball and wife Margaret, four grandchildren, Tonya M. Barnes and husband Chris, Tamie L. Arbogast and husband Kevin, David E. Ball and fiancée Amber, and Erin L. Beckman and fiancé Brian, six great grandchildren, Lane T. Arbogast, Kailee A. Beckman, Kaden A. Ball, Lila E. Barnes, Aiden E. Ball and Dallas C. Ball and special nephew Okey “Derald” Singleton. Preceding Bee in death besides her parents and husband was one son, Charles Eugene Ball, two sisters, Eula Green and Hilda Price, one daughter in law, Erma Swecker Ball, one grandson in law, Robert J. Beckman Jr., and special friend Andy Sharp. Bee attended the schools of Randolph County and was then employed by the Monterville Post Office for ten years and was an active member of Point Mountain Church. She loved attending church. Bee also loved shopping, crocheting and painting ceramics. Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home on Friday, April 18, 2014 from 4P-8P. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 1:00P at Point Mountain Church in Monterville. The Reverend Marshall Williams will officiate and interment will follow in the Brady Gate Cemetery in Monterville.
