John Fredrick Kyle, 92, a resident of Hendricks, passed from this life Friday morning,July 4, 2014 at Hospice Care Regional Inpatient Center in Elkins. John was born Tuesday, February 7, 1922 in Hendricks, a son of the late Roy Brock Kyle and Vera Aberle Kyle. On August 12, 1948, in Red House, MD, he married the former Alice Catherine Roy who preceded him in death in 2010. Left to cherish John’s memory are three children, David A. Kyle and wife Joyce of Hendricks, Robert W. Kyle and wife Jan of Parsons and Patty A. Heeren and husband Don of Fort Wayne, IN, two sisters, Virginia Kyle and Madolyn Long, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. Preceding John in death besides his parents and wife was one brother, Charles Kyle and two sisters, Shirley Bright and Margaret Carr. John attended the schools of Tucker County and was a high school graduate. Until his retirement in 2000, he had been employed as a fork lift operator for Hinchcliff Lumber for thirty-one years. John will be remembered as a hard worker. He thoroughly enjoyed cutting grass, shoveling snow, watching birds and working puzzles. Visitation will be held at the Summerfield Funeral Home in Parsons on Sunday, July 6, 2014 from 6PM until 8 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday,July 7, 2014 at 11AM. Pastor Rick Price will officiate and interment will follow at the McNeely Cemetery in Hendricks.
