Winfred “Winnie” Margaret Conrad, 90, a resident of Huttonsville, passed from this life Sunday, October 12, 2014 at home surrounded by family. Winnie was born Sunday, February 10, 1924 in Valley Bend, a daughter of the late Charles Hamrick and Dolley May Riggleman Hamrick. She married Emery A. Conrad who preceded her in death in 1953. Left to cherish Winnie’s memory are four children, Bayard Nelson Conrad of NC, Terry Lee Conrad and companion Sheila of Adolph, Sherry Lynn Conrad of Mill Creek and Mary Ann Currence of Huttonsville, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, her loving companion of forty nine years, Ralph Moore of Huttonsville and her pride and joy, her long nose Pekingese, Petey. Preceding Winnie in death besides her parents and husband was one son, Gary Martin Conrad, one daughter, Emily Margaret Swecker, four brothers and one sister. Winnie attended the schools of Randolph County and was a proud homemaker. She was always the life of the party. Winnie loved people and was Mother Hen to all. She was a Methodist by faith. A visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 11A-1P, the funeral hour. Interment will follow in Brick Church Cemetery in Huttonsville.
