Betty Ruth Tharp Wolford 1944-2014 Obituary
Betty Ruth Tharp Wolford, 69, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She had been in her usual health and death was unexpected.
Betty was born Thursday, November 9, 1944 in Beverly, a daughter of the late Patrick Tharp and Mary Ross Tharp.
Left to cherish Betty’s memory is her husband, Donald Wolford of Elkins, stepson, Adam Wolford of MD, one sister, Rachel Pratt and husband Bill of FL, two sisters in law, Alice Tharp of VA and Carol Tharp of Elkins, several nieces and nephews and her two beloved dogs, Annie, a Boston Terrier and Hoopie the Pekingese.
Preceding Betty in death besides her parents were three brothers, Henrey, Delmar and Joe Tharp.
Betty attended Beverly High School. She will be remembered for her forty plus years as a nursing assistant at various facilities in Randolph County. Betty enjoyed stopping at yard sales as well as attending car shows with her husband Don.
Betty’s request for cremation was honored. A visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 from 4P to 6P. Bishop Bennett of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints will speak.
