Brenda Kay Shreve Shifflett, 54, a resident of Valley Bend, passed from this life Monday, December 15, 2014 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. Brenda was born Friday, September 23, 1960 in Elkins, a daughter of the late Junior Edward Shreve and Ressie Marie Scott Shreve. Left to cherish Brenda’s memory is her long-time companion, Clifford Dale Harris, three children Bradley Shifflett of Elkins, Jessica Shifflett and fiancé, James Gilbert of Elkins, and Cassandra “Sass” Harris of Valley Bend, eleven siblings, Larry Shreve of Cassity, Janet Rucker of Dailey, Nancy Keffer and husband Gene of Montrose, Jerry Shreve and wife Wanda of Mill Creek, David Shreve and wife Bobbie of Cassity, Diane Rucker of Cassity, Thomas Shreve of Cassity, Jesse Shreve of Cassity, Randy Shreve and companion Norma Harris of Cassity, George Shreve of Elkins and Edward “Bug” Shreve and wife Rhonda of Mill Creek, three grandchildren, Genessa, Carla Kay, and Greyson, and many nieces and nephews. Brenda attended the schools of Randolph County and had worked at Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center as a certified nursing assistant. She enjoyed spending hours at a time planting and tending to her flowers in the summer. She adored her grandkids, loved to spoil her nieces and nephews, and was concerned about those around her above herself. Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5P-7P. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 11:00A at Fincham Chapel Church. Pastor Tristen Tenney will officiate and interment will follow in the Fincham Chapel Cemetery in Adolph.
