Doyle Monroe Herron 1950-2014 Obituary
Doyle Monroe Herron, 64, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Monday, November 17, 2014.
Doyle was born July 7, 1950 in Mill Creek, a son of the late Russell Monroe Herron and Jettie Lenora Taylor Herron.
On January 18, 1969 in Beverly, he was married to the former Judy Elizabeth Currence, who survives.
Others left to cherish Doyle’s memory are his two sons, Russell Herron and wife, Joan of Elkins and Rodney Herron and wife, Jeana of Tennessee, a special son, Brad Curtis and wife, Bobbie of Elkins, one brother, Delbert Herron of Delray, three sisters, Arra Currence and husband, Buck of Beverly, Freda Burton of Pin Oak, and Jean Ramsey and husband, Denny of Beverly, seven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Doyle was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Mason and Arlene Moore.
Doyle attended the schools of Randolph County, and had worked as a truck driver of JNH Trucking.
He enjoyed driving his log truck and was well known for playing his guitar and singing gospel music.
He was an excellent father, grandfather, and provider, but he was especially meticulous in taking care of his special lady, Judy. Visitation will be at the Randolph Funeral Home on Friday from 6PM until 8PM.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2014 at 11AM.
Rev. Marshall Williams and Pastor Foster Williams, Jr. will officiate and interment will follow in Mountain State Memorial Gardens in Gilman.
