WILLIAM ROBERT “BOBBY” EGLESON, age 53 years, a resident of Elkins, WV departed this life Saturday afternoon, March 5, 2011 at his home, Iveagh Trust at Arnold Hill Road in Elkins, WV. Death was unexpected.
He was born Thursday, June 6, 1957 at Clarksburg, WV a son of the late Edwin Louis Egleson and Mattie Margaret Wilson Egleson, who survives at NC. Also surviving are Sheila C. Rice, Elkins; one sister, Phyllis Karean “Kay” Southern, NC; three daughters in love; Nicole Hudson, Fairmont; Shannon Amorese, Elkins; Chelsea Rice, Morgantown; one granddaughter, Aryssa Hudson, Fairmont; three brothers in law, Gary S. Wiseman; Loren R. Wiseman; and Kevin M. Wiseman; one sister in law, Brenda J. Pritt; one aunt, Becky Parks; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are one brother, Edwin “Eddie” Egleson and one brother in law, Charles E. Simmons.
Bobby was a graduate of Graham High School at Bluefield, WV with the Class of 1974 and moved to Elkins in 1997. He was an employee of Champion Auto at Beverly, WV and along with Sheila was instrumental in the building and success of Iveagh Trust at Elkins and Granville Manor at Parsons. Bobby’s last act of kindness was helping others through organ, tissue and corneal donation through CORE, the Center for Organ Recovery and Education.
Mr. Egleson’s request for cremation was honored. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home with the Rev. Eli D. Hostetler officiating. The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
