YULONDA JUNE GOLDSMITH BROWN, age 47 years, a resident of Beverly, WV departed this life early Saturday morning, March 5, 2011 at her home. She had been in her usual health and death was unexpected.
She was born Sunday, July 14, 1963 at Marlinton, WV a daughter of the late Jackie Lee Goldsmith and Wanda June Powers Sharp, who survives at Elkins. Also surviving are two loving sons, Adam Jordan Goldsmith and Ezra Gabriel Goldsmith-lowers; two brothers, Jackie Lee Goldsmith; and Michael Shane Bibey and wife Patricia, all of Elkins; her baby sister, Jolinda Effinger and husband Michael, Greene County, PA; four precious aunts and uncles, Rita Powers Blake and husband Bob; Joyce K. Maize and husband Johnny; Brenda Sue Powers and Joann Phillips McCue; and nieces and nephews, Dominique Charleze and Landon Miguel Effinger, both of PA; her first born nephew, Travis “Turtle” and Seth Wade “Bug” Goldsmith; Stephen Mikel and younger brother, Andrew James Bibey; all of Elkins
Preceding her in death are her maternal grandparents, Francis Kadora Powers and Dovie Lillian Powers and her paternal grandparents, Dale Goldsmith and Eva Mae Pumphry Goldsmith.
She attended the schools of Upshur and Randolph Counties and was a graduate of Elkins High School with the Class of 1982. She worked for PANHANDLERS of Randolph County and was a member of the Elkins Church of the Brethren.
Yulonda thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors and explored all areas of WV faithfully camping with her best friend and loving companion Joseph Henry Morales. Devoted to her mother she herself was a caring mother and will be sadly missed by her best friends, Betty Jo Morales and her daughter, Mary Jo and Kenny “Chicken” Little.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 6 to 8 PM, Thursday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel Friday, March 11, 2011 at 2 PM. Pastor Mark Teets will officiate and interment will follow at the Maplewood Cemetery at Elkins, WV.
