BARBARA ALLEN MOORE HECKLER, age 64 years, a resident of Hambleton, WV departed this life to be with the Lord, early Wednesday morning, April 13, 2011 at the Davis Memorial Hospital at Elkins, WV.
She was born Sunday, February 9, 1947 at Lewis Co., a daughter of the late Harry Paul and Polly Marie Linger Moore. On June 24, 1966 at Oakland, MD, she was married to David Lee “Bud” Heckler, who preceded her in death March 14, 2007. They had celebrated forty one years of marriage.
Surviving are one son, Mark Lee Heckler and wife Susan of Hambleton; one daughter, Bonnie Patricia Heckler of Bowden; one step daughter, Evonne Heckler of FL; one brother, Pat Ashby of St. George; four granddaughters, Courtney, Natalie, Keshia and Emily and three great grandchildren, Mariah, Mia and Jaylan.
Preceding her in death are one daughter, Vicky Clare Heckler and two sisters, Mary Cross and Brenda Moore.
She was a graduate of Parsons High School with the Class of 1966. She was an employee of the former White Gables Nursing Home at Parsons, the former Dorman Mills, a former Custodian for the Parsons Presbyterian Church and a former Volunteer for the Head Start Program. She attended the Mackeyville Church and she loved flowers, listening to music and crochet.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Friday from 5 to 8 PM. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 11 AM. Rev. Pat Cassidy will officiate and interment will follow at the Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons, WV.
