KEITH MYERS HILLEARY, age 57 years, a resident of Elkins, WV departed this life Friday morning, July 15, 2011 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born Thursday, June 17, 1954 at Elkins, WV a son of Alfred “Edward” and Eleanor Right Hilleary who survive at Elkins. On September 21, 1996 he was married to the former Jeanette Rose Barnett Roy who survives. Also surviving are two stepsons, Ben and Daniel Roy, both of Elkins; one stepdaughter, Crystal Roy, Dunbar.
Preceding him in death is one infant brother.
He was a graduate of Elkins High School with the Class of 1972, and had worked at Elkins Fordland for thirty-eight years and twenty-five years as parts manager. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved sports and hunting. He was a caring man who was very proud of his work. He was one of the most knowledgeable parts managers around. He knew Ford parts in and out. He was the guy other parts managers called when they had questions. He was into his work and proud of what he did. He never met a stranger. Keith was a very caring and thoughtful husband, was a great stepfather and a wonderful son.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 8 PM, Tuesday. On Wednesday, July 20, 2011, Mr. Hilleary will be moved to the Hart Chapel Church at Chenoweth Creek, where friends may call from 12 Noon to 1:30 PM, the funeral hour. The Rev. David M. Collins and Ron Phillips will officiate and cremation will follow.
