TOSCA BENIGNA LANDRON TERRANO, age 89 years, a well known Hairdresser of Elkins, WV and more recently a resident of Rt. 4, Buckhannon, WV departed this life, Friday evening, August 5, 2011 at the home of her son, Mike Terrano and daughter-in-law Cheryl.
She was born Sunday, March 26, 1922 in Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late Teodosia Gonzalez.
Surviving are two sons, James Vincent Terrano and companion Deb Larson, of Nebraska; Michael Anthony Terrano and wife Cheryl, Buckhannon; two daughters, Regina Maria Terrano Hines and husband Jim, Beverly, Mary Celeste Parker and husband Jimmy, of Arizona, eight grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by two sons, Marko “Mark” and Ricardo “Ricky” Terrano and several brothers and sisters.
Tosca attended the schools of Puerto Rico; and was a hairdresser for many years. She was an avid golfer, a member of the Saint Brendan Catholic Church and a member of the Elkins Lodge # 1135 BPOE. The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins on Saturday, August 20, 2011 from 5 to 7 PM. The casket will remain closed. On Saturday evening, August 20, 2011 at 7 PM, a celebration of Mrs. Terrano’s life will be held. The Rev. Cheryl A. Terrano will officiate and cremation will follow. The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to Mountain Hospice, 1600 Crim Avenue, Belington, WV 26250.
