James Titus White, age 82 years, a resident of Elkins, WV departed this life Saturday evening August 13, 2011 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown, WV.
He was born Friday, October 19, 1928 at Job, WV a son of the late Virgil and Pearl Davis White. On June 22, 1950 he was married to the former Doris Shipman, who preceded him in death April 12, 1998. On May 19, 2001 he was married to the former Golia Pennington, who survives in Elkins. Also surviving are three daughters, Dianna Barber and husband Bill, Sacramento, CA; Debra Pritchett and husband Mike, Wooster, OH; Amy White, Akron, OH; one son, Michael White, Juneau, Alaska; four step sons, Bill and Wife Mary, Shenandoah, VA; Jim and wife Cher, Culpepper, VA; John and wife Carrie, Warrenton, VA; Jim and wife Barb, Remmington, VA; two step daughters, Corleta and Glenn, Chester, MD; Vicki and husband Robert, Warrenton, VA; two brothers, Lester White, Job; Harold White, Crystal Springs; two sisters, Georgie White; and Anna Jane Hedrick, both of Elkins; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; seventeen step grandchildren; thirteen step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are five brothers, Roy, Benny, Matthew, John and Edgar White and three sisters, Pauline, Mary and Hallie White.
He attended the schools of Randolph County.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 8 PM, Friday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel, Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 1 PM. The Rev. Bill Hopkins will officiate and interment will follow at the Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman, WV.
