JAMES ROBERT “CLYDE” HEDRICK, age 63 years, a resident of Beverly, WV departed this life early Friday morning, August 12, 2011 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown, WV.
He was born Wednesday, March 10, 1948 at Morgantown, WV a son of the late Oley “Peck” and Luvernia Olive Wooden Hedrick. On November 22, 1980 at Junior, WV he was married to the former Martha Alice Moore, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Chad Robert Hedrick, Mill Creek; one step son, Alan Ken Skogstad, Beverly; two daughters, Kelly Dawn Hedrick, Belington; Sarah Jane Hedrick, Mill Creek; one step daughter, Cindy Lou Kisner and husband Donny, Montrose; three brothers, Herman Denzil Hedrick, Mill Creek; Steven Allen Hedrick, Montrose; Larry Andrew Hedrick and wife Tammy, Belington; three sisters, Wilma Lee Lambert and husband Howard, Montrose; Ruth Ann Sharp and husband Cecil, Canton, OH; Rosetta Pennington, Iowa; one half sister, Rose Marie Martin, Martinsburg; two grandchildren and one on the way.
Preceding him in death are one brother, Oley Gene “Buck” Hedrick; and three sisters, Charlene “Patty” White; Jeanette; and Anita Faye Hedrick.
James attended the one-room Poe Run School, had worked as a lumber stacker for Myles Lumber Company and made baseball bats for the Chareles D. Roberts Company. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Church in Barbour County.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 7 PM, Tuesday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel, Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 1:30 PM. The Rev. Larry Poling will officiate and interment will follow at the Mouse Cemetery at Cravensdale, WV.
