Eleanor Jean Right Hilleary, age 79 years, a resident of Elkins, WV departed this life Saturday afternoon August 27, 2011 at the Hospice Care Regional Inpatient Center in Elkins.
She was born Friday, February 26, 1932 at Elkins, WV a daughter of the late Esley M. and Sarah “Bessie” Cade Right. On January 23, 1954 at Elkins, WV she was married to Alfred “Edward” Hilleary, who survives on Chenoweth Creek Road in Elkins. They had celebrated fifty-seven years of marriage.
Also surviving is one daughter in law, Jeanette Hilleary, Elkins; two brothers, Franklin Ray Right and wife Hazel, Melbourne, FL; Craig M. Right and wife Joan, Graham, NC; two sisters, Helen M. Olson and husband Tom, Boise, ID; Mildred Moats, Elkins; two step grandsons, Ben and Daniel Roy, both of Elkins; one step granddaughter, Crystal Roy, Dunbar; several nieces and nephews and her special dog “Max”.
Preceding her in death are two sons, Keith Myers Hilleary on July 15, 2011, and one infant son; and three sisters, Pauline Wheeler; Neva Johnson; and Joan Toompas.
Eleanor was a graduate of Elkins High School with the Class of 1950, and was a homemaker. She loved spending time with family and friends, bowling, reading, cooking and canning.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 8 PM, Tuesday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel, Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 11 AM. The Rev. Walter T. Ellison will officiate and cremation will follow.
