RONALD LEE JOLLY, age 79 years, a resident of Parsons, WV, and a resident of Cortland Acres, Thomas, WV, departed this life Wednesday morning, September 14, 2011 at Cortland Acres.
He was born Monday, June 20, 1932 at Parsons, WV, a son of the late Cover L. Jolly and Valley Virginia “Gin” Isner Jolly. He had never married.
Surviving are one brother, Donald Doyle “Oop” Jolly and wife Judy of Parsons; one Aunt, Geraldine “Gerry” Isner of Porterwood; and eight nieces and nephews, Ronald Poling of Colorado, Kathy Tagert of FL, Brenda Lipscomb of Morgantown, Becky Smith of St. George, Tammy Grant of VA, Teresa Lycliter of Parsons, Cindy Carr of Parsons and David Jolly of Parsons.
He was preceded in death by one brother, David Theodore “Teddy” Jolly; and two sisters, Grace B. Jolly Poling and Navada “Vade” Jolly Carr.
He attended the schools of Tucker County. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a gunsmith by trade and a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church at Parsons.
Mr. Jolly’s request for cremation was honored. A graveside service will take place at a later date.
