Betty Jean Barnes Kreitzburg, age 72, of Volga, WV, died Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Holbrook’s Nursing Home in Buckhannon, WV. She was born August 6, 1940 in Clarksburg, WV, a daughter of the late Clarence B. and Edna Pethtel Barnes. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Kreitzburg. She is survived by one son, Roger Kreitzburg of Arlington, VA; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, John Barnes of Buckhannon and Brax Barnes and wife Betty of TN; one sister, Mildred Deem of TN; several nieces and nephews and a special companion, Jimmie Norman of Volga. Ms. Kreitzburg was a homemaker, a member of the Ladies Aux Eagles #4357 and a very dependable volunteer for the Eagles. The family would like to send a special thanks to the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV and Holbrook’s Nursing Home in Buckhannon. Per her request Ms. Kreitzburg has donated her body to the Human Gift Registry at West Virginia University. Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements
