Zelma Lemoyne Tallman, age 88, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, November 17, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born May 11, 1925 in Upshur County, WV, a daughter of the late McKinley and Trecie Tenney Mills. On November 7, 1942 she married Bill M. Tallman who preceded her in death on April 13, 1986. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Clint Tallman and three brothers, Howard, Robert and Richard Mills. She is survived by four sons, Rev. William Douglas Tallman and wife Jackie of Dayton, OH, Ronald Tallman and wife Sue of Elyria, OH, Donald Tallman and wife Cathy of LaGrange, OH and Pastor Michael Tallman and wife Donna of Buckhannon; three daughters, Barbara Johnson and husband Roy of Metairie, LA, Carolyn Cunningham and husband Phares of Medina, OH and Bonnie Josefick and husband Josh of Elyria and twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Tallman was a homemaker. She was a charter member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Buckhannon and the last member of her immediate family. Friends will be received Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday at the Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Tallman and the Rev. William Douglas Tallman officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Church Cemetery at Tallmansville, WV. Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
