Dora M Brown 1930-2013 Obituary
Dora M. Brown, age 82, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, December 8, 2013 at home. She was born December 9, 1930 in Kingsville, WV, a daughter of the late Albert and Laura Grace Potts Tenney. On December 22, 1952 she married Harley A. Brown who survives. Also surviving is one son, Randy Brown and wife Lori of Plantation, FL; one daughter, Martha Randolph and husband Neil of New Cumberland, WV; one granddaughter, Jaclyn Randolph of Arlington, VA; one step grandson, Matthew Prince of Gainesville, FL; two brothers, Leonard Earl Tenney and Joseph Tenney and wife Judy all of Buckhannon; two sisters, Oleta Watts and husband James of Evans, GA and Sue Wamsley and husband Doug of Ellamore, WV and two sisters in law, Eloise Tenney of Buckhannon and Leverne Tenney of Marietta, OH. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Elvin, Eldon and Lloyd Tenney and two sisters, Nelda Lantz and Thelma Tenney. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and dedicated wife and mother. She was a member of the Mt. Rupert United Methodist Church and was awarded the United Methodist Service Award. Friends will be received Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 2-8 PM at the Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jack M. Bohman officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Mt. Rupert UMC building fund, c/o Sandy Ireland, 69 Rogers Lane, Buckhannon, WV 26201. Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
