Obituary: Loverine Rider Loverine Rider, 77, of Weaver Community, died Friday, January 11, 2013 in the Davis Memorial Hospital, Elkins, following an extended illness. She was born June 2, 1935, at Junior, a daughter of the late Vernon Leo and Odie Kathleen (Moore) Hymes. On October 20, 1953, she was married to Doyle Neil Rider, who preceded her in death on June 2, 2010. Survivors include one daughter, Cheryl Myers and husband, John, Weston; three sons, Jeff Rider and wife, Cindy, Norton, Alan Rider and companion, Kristin DeRuzzo, Groton, Mass., Roger Rider, Weaver; four sisters, Joan Jones, Elkins, Dixie Kerns and Kathleen Skidmore, both of Junior, Gloria (Frank) Price, Hagerstown, Md.; two brothers, Butch (Wanda) Hymes, Charleston, Rick (Vicki) Hymes, Junior; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two grandsons, John Lucas Myers and Zachary Thomas Rider and by one great granddaughter, Aimsley White. Mrs. Rider retired as a cook at Philip Barbour High School. She was a member of the Weaver Church of the Nazarene and the church’s Women’s Ministries. She was a longtime election-day poll worker. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and canning. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 15, from the Weaver Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Johnny Williams will officiate and interment will follow in the Hillyard Cemetery. Friends may call at the Schoonover – Stemple Funeral Chapel, 609 Crim Avenue, Belington, from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Monday and from 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M., Tuesday when Mrs. Rider will be moved to the Weaver Church of the Nazarene where friends may call from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M., the funeral hour. The Schoonover – Stemple Funeral Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.
