OBITUARY: BILLY RAY WILSON Billy Ray Wilson, 78, of Midway Road, Belington, died Monday, February 4, 2013 in the Barbour County Good Samaritan Center, Belington. He had been in declining health but his death was unexpected. He was born August 6, 1934, at Moatsville, a son of the late Ivan Ray and Ruth Janet (Haddix) Wilson. On October 16, 1956, he married the former Shirley L. Corley who survives at their home on Midway Road, Belington. Also surviving is one sister, Etheleen Shaw and husband, Howard, Belington; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Wilson was a 1953 graduate of Kasson High School He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Republic Steel Corp. with 40 years service. He was a member of the United Steelworkers. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 7, from the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 So. Main Street, Philippi, W.Va. Pastor Downing Gregory will officiate and interment will follow in the Belington Fraternal Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Wednesday and from 9:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M., the funeral hour, on Thursday. Stemple & Forman Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
