OBITUARY: LESTER DALE ADAMS, SR. Lester Dale Adams, Sr., 64, of Mansfield Place, formerly of Chestnut Street, Philippi, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013, in the Broaddus Hospital, following an extended illness. He was born April 11, 1948, at Kingwood, a son of the late Lester Otto Adams and the late Stella (Lambert) Adams. Surviving are three sons, Lester Dale Adams, Jr. and wife Jennifer., Myerstown, PA, Daniel Adams, Oceanside, CA, and Karl Adams and wife Tiffany, Reedsville, W.Va.; three daughters, Anna Hallis, Pottsville, PA, Shannon Kriner, Minersville, PA, and Deneice Nelson, Greenville, OH; and eighteen grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one son, Anthony Adams; one brother, Carl Lambert; one sister Caroline Adams-lyons; and by three still born children. Mr. Adams worked as a machine operator for a Maryland drilling company. He enjoyed cars and traveling to car shows. He loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was Methodist by faith. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 24, from the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 South Main Street, Philippi. Wilmer Martin will officiate. Mr. Adams wishes to be cremated will be honored. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 122 South High Street, Morgantown, WV 26501. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 until 2:00 P.M. ,the funeral hour, on Sunday. Stemple & Forman Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
