Timothy Dale Richard Timothy Dale Richard, 48, of Curtis Lane, Belington, died Saturday evening, Dec. 11, 2009, at his home. He was born Dec. 25, 1960, at Elkins, a son of Carolyn Ann Browning Richard Flanagan and the late Roy Dale Richard. On Nov. 29, 1985, he married the former Virda Jean Jones, who survives at Belington. Also surviving are one daughter, Rachel Elizabeth Richard, and one son, Michael Dale Richard, both of Belington; a brother, David A. Richard and wife, Brenda; two sisters, Anna L. Corley and husband, Danny; and Malena Rau and husband, Michael, all of Belington; his mother-in-law, Barbara J. Rizer Jones of Belington; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Richard was a 1979 graduate of Philip Barbour High School and a 1983 graduate of Davis & Elkins College where he earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental science. He was employed as a mine inspector by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection. Mr. Richard was a member of Belington Lodge 125, A.F. & A.M., Tygart Valley Chapter 39, R.A.M. and a 32nd degree member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Masonry, Valley of Charleston. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, a gun collector, a member of the National Rife Association and enjoyed spending time with his family. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, from Schoonover-stemple Funeral Chapel, 609 Crim Ave. in Belington. The Rev. Destry Daniels will officiate and interment will follow in Concord Cemetery where Belington Lodge 125 will confer Masonic graveside rites. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., the funeral hour, on Thursday.
