OBITUARY: GERALDINE CLEAVENGER Geraldine Cleavenger, 85, of Homeland Community, Rt. #1, Flemington, died Sunday, December 20, in the Charleston Area Medical Center, General Division. She was born April 9, 1924, at Green Valley, Harrison County, a daughter of the late Arnett and Geneva (Horner) Cleavenger. On July 14, 1942, she was married to Samuel Howard Cleavenger, who preceded her in death on September 26, 2003. Surviving are one son, Samuel A. Cleavenger, Elkview; one daughter, Joan Tamulitis and husband, Martin, Belington; two grandsons, Richard H. Cleavenger and Ernest Scott Tamulitis; two great grandchildren, Samuel A. Cleavenger and Alicia Cleavenger; two great great grandchildren, Samuel A. Cleavenger II and Natalie Ann Kessel. Mrs. Cleavenger was also preceded in death by one sister, Betty Cleavenger and by two brothers, Roy Charles Cleavenger and Robert Sidney Cleavenger. Mrs. Cleavenger was a homemaker and had attended the Fountain of Love Ministries at Galloway. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, December 28, from the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 South Main Street, Philippi. The Rev. Selvy Mayle Jr. will officiate and interment will follow in the Mary’s Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Sunday and from 9:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M., the funeral hour, on Monday.
