Hubert L. Arbogast, age 78 years, a resident of Valley Head, passed away Saturday evening, July 14, 2012 in the Louis A. Johnson Veterans Hospital in Clarksburg. He was born November 20, 1933 at Valley Head, a son of the late Thurman and Leta Friel Arbogast. On August 3, 1958 at Mill Creek, he was married to Eleanor Shaffer Arbogast who preceded him in death February 27, 1997. He is survived by one son, David Arbogast of Huttonsville and three brothers, Delmar Arbogast, Preston, MD, Dairel Arbogast, of Cleveland, OH and Lester Arbogast, of Valley Head. Also surviving are four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also preceding him in death were one son, Michael Arbogast and one brother, Roger Arbogast. Mr. Arbogast was a Veteran of the United States Navy and retired from Lab Craft.
Friends will be received from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 18th from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lonnie Daniels officiating. Interment will follow in the Mingo Cemetery at Mingo where presentation of the American flag will be made by members of HW Daniels Post 29 American Legion of Elkins.
