Jessie G. Ferguson, age 82 years, a former resident of Montrose and more recently a resident of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012 in Huntington, WV. She was born December 22, 1929 at Hacker Valley, WV a daughter of the late Ernest Daniel and Ella Gay House Isch. On September 12, 1949 in Elkins, she was married to Eugene Ferguson who preceded her in death on March 27, 1989. Surviving are five sons, Joseph Lane Ferguson, Greenville, SC, Stanley Douglas Ferguson, Seattle, WA, David Dann Ferguson Santa Clause, IN, Michael Gene Ferguson, Chesapeake, OH and Preston Lee Ferguson of Proctorville, OH. Two brothers, John Henry Isch, Toledo, OH and Paul Daniel Isch of Elkins, two sisters, Ester June McCourt, Toledo, OH and Buelah Mae Bartlett of Montrose, ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Ernest Lawrence Isch and Rudolph Jacob Isch and three sisters, Helen Violet Murphy, Eula Gay Isch and Dorothea Jeannette Lewis. Mrs. Ferguson was employed as a Cook at the North Elementary School prior to her retirement. She was a Methodist by Faith and attended the Hope United Methodist Church in Proctorville, OH. Friends may call from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday, November 25, 2012 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday from the funeral home chapel with Pastor David Fisher officiating. Interment will follow in the Montrose Primitive Baptist Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, West Virginia Affiliate, P.O. Box 1115, Dunbar, WV 25064. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Jessie G. Ferguson.
