Sandra L. “Sandy” Moyer Louk Poe, age 65 years, a resident of Elkins, passed away Saturday evening, December 1, 2012. She was born August 21, 1947 in Elkins a daughter of the late Frank Elwood Moyer and the late Hazel Vanpelt Moyer. She is survived by one daughter, Angela “Angie” Louk of Elkins, two brothers, Frank E. Moyer, Jr. and wife Janie of Beverly and Richard L. Moyer and wife Karen of Anmore, WV, a sister-in-law, Mary Jo Moyer and several nieces and nephews also survive. Also preceding her in death was one brother, David Moyer. Sandra attended the schools of Randolph County and was a graduate of Elkins High School with the Class of 1966. She worked for several years at the Elkins Sewing Factory, The Fast Break Store and was a homemaker. She was a Baptist by Faith and a member of the Landmark Baptist Church in Elkins, Kerens Rebekah Lodge No. 292 and H.W. Daniels Post 29 American Legion Auxiliary. She looked forward to the day she would go home to be with her Lord and Savior.
Friends may call from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday, December 6, 2012 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. On Friday, December 7th, she will be moved to the Landmark Baptist Church where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Pastor Ken Shiflet will officiate and interment will follow in the Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Sandra L. “Sandy” Moyer Louk Poe.
