Mr. Kermit Lee Bibey, age 76 years, a former resident of Junior, departed this life 4:00 PM Saturday, October 20, 2012 in the Good Samaritan Center in Belington. Kermit was born September 13, 1936, the son of the late Neeson W. and Beulah V. “Tom” Bibey. He attended the schools in Barbour County and was a retired carpenter, driller and blaster by trade. He was a member of the WV Labor Union and attended the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Norton. Kermit was married on November 14, 1955, to Reva June Richardson who resides in Locust Grove, VA. Also surviving are his nine children, Deborah Haddix of Point Marion, PA, James Bibey of Elkins, David Bibey and Donald Bibey, both of Belington, Brenda Bibey, Victoria Bibey, Timothy Bibey, and Jenny Helton, all of Locust Grove, VA and Dee Dee Walton of Spotsylvania, VA. He is also survived by one sister, Garnet Skidmore of Junior, sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Also preceding him in death was one brother, Bernard Bibey.
Friends may call from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 25th from the funeral home chapel with Rev. R.L. Haddix officiating. Interment will follow in the Trinity Cemetery near Junior, WV. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Kermit Lee Bibey.
