Golda Annalee ‘Toots’ Sharp Brake, 60, a resident of Huttonsville passed from this life early Sunday morning, January 15, 2012 at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown. She had been in declining health. She was born Friday, February 18, 1951 at Elkins, a daughter of the late Mary Rosalie Sharp Shipman and Woodbridge Oxier. On September 16, 1969 at Elkins, she married Homer Brake who survives. Golda had attended the schools of Valley Head, was a homemaker, and had worked with the Randolph-county Senior Center. She had attended the Nazarene Church of Huttonsville and Mill Creek Memorial Mission Church, and she was a Protestant by faith. Left to cherish Golda’s memory along with her husband, is one son, Robert Deavone Brake and wife, Jacki of Mill Creek, three brothers, Adrian ‘Bunny’ Shipman and wife, Romona, John K. Sharp and wife, Lucille, and Joseph Shipman, and companion, Shannon Cassell all of Valley Head, and one sister, Daphine Simmons and husband, Mitch of Green Bank, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 from 10 AM until 12 noon, the funeral hour. The Reverend Tristan Tenney will officiate and interment will follow at Brick Church Cemetery at Huttonsville.
