OBITUARY: JOHNNIE MAYLE Johnnie Mayle, 59, of Rt. #1, Moatsville, died Wednesday evening, September 19, at his home, following an extended illness. He was born January 10, 1953, at Saginaw, Mich., a son of the late Harley Andrew and Clara Marie (Kennedy) Mayle. On December 31, 1975, he married the former Sharon Lynn Fagons, who preceded him in death on June 9, 2011. Surviving are two daughters, Christa Lynn Marshall, Misty Dawn Collins and husband, Michael Wayne, all of Philippi; four sons, Ronald Franklin Fagons, Philippi, Ralph Edward Mayle and Marcus Alva Fagons, both of Moatsville, Ritchie Edward Mayle and wife, Sharon, Magnolia, Oh.; one brother, John Andrew Mayle, Grafton; six sisters, Alberta Norris, Stafford, Va., Delores Marie Mayle, Janet Sue Kennedy, Gloria Jean (Stanley) Reynolds, all of Philippi, Rhonda (Franklin) Mayle, Columbus, Oh., Sheila (Steve) Matheny, Shinnston; fifteen grandchildren, Aaron Fagons, Selena Fagons, Derek Mayle, Ritchie Mayle, Olivia Mayle, Christopher Mayle, Terrance Marshall, Bruce Marshall, Halaina Marshall, Koshia Collins, Emily Collins, Makayla Mayle, Austin Mayle and Aurbrianna Norris. He was also preceded in death by a son, Johnnie Mayle Jr., and by two brothers, Tony Mayle and his twin brother, Conny. Mr. Mayle was an employee of the Sanitation Department of the City of Philippi until illness forced his retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of Peoples Chapel Church. He was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, dancing and helping people. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, September 24, from the Peoples Chapel Church. The Rev. Ruston Seaman and Pastor David DeRochie will officiate and interment will follow in the Fagons – Mayle Family Cemetery where Barbour Post #44, American Legion will confer military rites. Friends may call at the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 So. Main Street, from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Saturday, from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Sunday and from 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. on Monday and at the Peoples Chapel Church from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M., the funeral hour, on Monday.
