Lucy E. Walker, 64, passed away Friday, September 28, 2012. Born in Grafton, W.Va., Lucy was a resident of Akron for most of her life and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Preceded in death by her parents, Charles Hoffman and Bonnie (Blake) McCord; Lucy is survived by sons, Donald “Bill” Walker Jr., and Steven “Bob” (Trish) Walker; daughter, Kimberly Walker; grandchildren, Shane, Dillon, Brady, Courtney and Thomas; brother, Mike (Paulette) Hoffman; sisters, Barb (Charles) Knight and Robin (Buddy) McCord; former husband, Donald Walker Sr.; step-brothers, Donald A. McCord Jr., Walker McCord, Gary McCord and Paul Ray McCord; step-sisters, Mary Ann Knapp, Evelyn Smith, Velma Reed, Sherry Jean Stutler, Annette Payne and Darlene Hudkins; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 3, from the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 So. Main Street, Philippi. Elder Les Edinger will preside and interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday and from 9:00 until 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday.
