William David Dumire, age 55, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Thursday evening, May 3, 2012. He was born Sunday, March 31, 1957 at Cleveland, OH a son of the late Keith Denison Dumire and Freda Grace Roy Dumire. David was a graduate of Elkins High School with the class of 1974, had spent a year at the Randolph County Vo-tech Center, had served with the United States Navy, and had worked construction for many different companies until becoming disabled. David was an avid outdoorsman and loved the mountains, especially Bickles Knob and Bear Haven. David is survived by two sons, David Keith Dumire and William Robert Dumire, both of Elkins, two brothers, James F. Dumire and wife, Terri, of Elkins and John Michael Campbell and wife, Wendy, of Alabama, seven grandchildren, Isaiah, Michaela, Hunter, Zachary, Kayla, Landon, and Ian with whom he enjoyed spending time, one aunt, Mrs. V.W. “Lucille” Kight, and his former wife, Debra Lynn White Dumire. David’s request for cremation was honored. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
