Billy Lee Henline, 87, a former resident of Valley Head, and more recently of Elkins, passed from this life late Tuesday evening, July 31, 2012 at the Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center. He was born Wednesday, March 25, 1925 at Arcola, WV, a son of the late Hoy L. Henline and Suzanna Tyler Henline. On January 24, 1948, he was married to the former Virginia Carr, who survives. Others left to cherish Billy’s memory are three daughters, Connie “Beth” Channell and husband, Ted, of Valley Head, Judith “Sharon” Jones and husband, Roger of Valley Bend, and Sue L. Henline and companion, Dan, of Elkins, one son, Robert “Bob” Henline and wife, Sandra, of Mill Creek, one son-in-law, Doug Fritz of Kentucky, eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, twelve great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding Billy in death was one daughter, Michele Henline Fritz, four sisters, Freda Workman, Peggy Villello, Rachel Weese, and Blanche Semone, nine brothers, John “Ted” Henline, Hartzel Henline, Mack Henline, Henry “Cub” Henline, Carl Henline, Lester Henline, Alva Henline, James “Fred” Henline, and Arden “Art” Henline, one grandchild, and one great grandchild. Billy attended the school at Arcola, had served with the United States Army during World WarII, and was a coal miner having worked for Maust Coal Company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening and was a member of the H.W. Daniels Post #29, American Legion. Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 until 8PM. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home chapel on Friday, August 3, 2012 at 11AM. Pastor Harold Swecker will officiate and interment will follow at Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman where members of the H.W. Daniels Post #29, American Legion and the West Virginia Honor Guard will present the American Flag. The Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements for Billy Lee Henline.
