Emma “Jean” (Rhodes) Mussi, born May 8, 1950, died on August 10, 2012. Named after her mother, Emma Ellet Hamrick Rhodes, who predeceased her, as well as her father, Charles Ollie Rhodes. She had a large family and has many siblings still living. She also had many close friends whom she considered family, including relationships made during the years she worked at Appalachian Mental Health Center. In recent years she worked as a substitute teacher’s aide through the Board of Education which she thoroughly enjoyed due to her love of children. Throughout her adult life, she was an active and devout member of the Elkins congregation of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and her faith sustained her through many tribulations in her life including this final battle with cancer. She will be missed by many, but mostly by her husband, Richard, and her daughter, Angela. A Memorial Service will be held on August 18, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the Elkins Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
