Rita Fay Elbon, 72, a resident of Elkins, WV passed from this life, Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. Rita was born on Monday, April 8, 1940 in Huttonsville, a daughter of the late Odie Ray Elbon and Nina Marie Ware Elbon. Rita is survived by her sister Ruth Koski of Elkins, a special niece Michelle Lyons and family of Houston, Texas, two aunts, Verna Elbon of Bridgeport and Ruth Elbon of Baltimore, MD, and several cousins. Preceding her in death was one sister, Karen Crone. Rita attended the schools of Randolph County and graduated in 1958 from Patterson Park High School in Baltimore City, MD. She had worked for Commercial Credit in Maryland, Holiday Foods in South Dakota and more recently Kroger in Elkins. She was an avid reader and enjoyed bowling and being with family and friends. Visitation will be held in the Randolph Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 13, 2012 from Noon to 2:00PM, the funeral hour. Rev. Harold Swecker will officiate and interment will follow at the Brick Church Cemetery at Huttonsville. The Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements for Rita Fay Elbon.
