Billy Lane Haney, 45, a resident of Mill Creek, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 to be with God in which he placed all his trust and faith. He had been in his usual health and death was sudden and unexpected due to injuries sustained from an automobile accident in Indiana. Billy was born on August 9, 1967 and is survived by his wife, Rita Fournier Haney and son, Dustin Haney, his mother Shirley Lawrence and stepfather John, his father Roger Haney and stepmother Delores. Left to cherish Billy’s memory are his brothers, Charles Bostick and wife Teresa of Valley Head, Scott Haney and wife Amanda of Hillsboro, Tommy Haney of Mill Creek, Jeffrey Haney of Elkins, his sisters, Pam Channell and husband Jeff of Valley Head, Kimberly Cheek and husband Chris of High Point, NC, Donna LeMasters and husband Tommy of Valley Bend. Immediate nieces and nephews who will cherish Billy are Bryan and Brandon Channell, Hillary and Ryan Bostick, Kristine Cheek, Cody Haney, Christina Haney, Jocelyn Haney and Regan Haney. Billy is also survived by his grandmother, Betty McCauley with whom he lived with for several years, his aunt Sylvia and uncle Jerry Haney with whom he also lived with for several years. Billy had several aunts and uncles and other immediate family members and special friends who will remember Billy and the times they were privileged to spend with him. He was preceded in death by his infant sister Tamela McCauley, June 19, 1966 – September 20, 1966. Billy attended Tygarts Valley High School in Randolph County and volunteered at the Tyrand Cooperative ministries for Belinda Toms in Mill Creek, WV for several years and was there everyday. During his time at the Tyrand Cooperative Ministries, Billy received volunteer of the year and the Noah’s Ark thrift store award various times. He also helped the elderly ladies at the church and could be seen on several occasions pushing one of the ladies to church in her wheel chair. He loved Christian music and never met a stranger. He loved to make people laugh and he always entertained everyone with his amazing voice impersonations. He was our Santa Claus at Christmas time and enjoyed passing out gifts and made sure his special needs nephew was involved. He will be truly missed and loved by all. He spent his life devoted to God and helping others. A memorial service and life celebration will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 12:00 pm at the Valley Independent Baptist Church in Huttonsville, WV, officiated by Pastor Frank Stanley. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Billy’s memory to the Tyrand Cooperative Ministries, PO Box 365, Mill Creek, WV 26280 in honor of Billy Lane Haney. The Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 100 Meadow Lane, Valley Bend, WV, has been entrusted with the arrangements for Billy Lane Haney.
