Opal “Marlene” Kasten, 59 of Looneyville, WV, formally of Buckhannon, went to Heaven, as a result of a sudden heart attack Tuesday Jan 3, 2012. Marlene is survived by her husband of 42 years, Kenny, of Looneyville, son Shawn, from Charleston, mother Evanglean Myers, brother John Myers, both of Buckhannon, and many other family members. Marlene worked with her husband daily at K.K. Auction Services in Charleston. She was owner/operator/ florist of Four Seasons Floral and Gift in Buckhannon for many years, and was formally employed by Food Among the Flowers of Charleston. Marlene was a very loving Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt & Friend and will be missed by all who knew her. Marlene was a member of Christian Fellowship Church of Buckhannon. Kenny and Shawn invite all family and friends to a “Celebration of Life” that will be held for Marlene on Wednesday January 18th, @ 6-9pm in Buckhannon, at The Bicentennial Inn, in the Green Room, on East Main Street. If anyone has photos of Marlene they would like to bring and share the memories, please do. In lieu of flowers it has been suggested to make a donation to the family to help with funeral and medical expenses.
