Helen Irene Linger, age 81, of Elkins, WV passed suddenly on Sunday, July 1, 2012 in Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born August 21, 1930 in Daysville, WV, a daughter of the late Daniel Elmer “Kelly” and Janice Emma Lewis Campbell. On June 5, 1947 she married Oden Lee Linger who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Roger Lee Linger and wife Anna of Sunderland, MD, Steven Michael Linger and wife Veronica of French Creek, WV, Richard Daniel Linger and companion Mitzi of Wheaton, MD and William Oden Linger and companion Barbara of Elkins; one daughter, Debra O’Denise Fullem and husband Terry of Edgewater, MD; thirteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Matthew William Linger and two sisters. Mrs. Linger was a front end manager for Safeway Stores, Inc., in Maryland. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and will be missed by all who knew her. She enjoyed painting and loving her grandchildren. Friends will be received Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Buckhannon with Bishop Steven Linger officiating.
